Just About the One

Although I do not find it all that important to define myself, I do it here because others see value in it.

I was a pastor for 17 years, but I am currently on a self-imposed leave of which I may never return. My Christian journey has allowed me to lead in three churches and plant one. One time I was leading three churches at once, not a fun experience at all, although very exciting. Basically I have spent ten years as a minister/leader in local Pentecostal ministries, then I moved on to a Christian and Missionary Alliance church where I had been for 7 years.

I have seen and been put through a lot and nothing surprises me anymore in this Christian journey that I am on. My reflections on all things that I find peculiar in Christianity and other faiths will show up here in this forum and maybe it will be good for a discussion or two.

But who I am is really not all that important in the grand scheme of things. I’m just one man trying to make a difference in somebody’s life by sharing words, but more importantly by the actual work I do within my home community.

The title of the blog comes from my reflections on the story of John the Baptist and from the path I have chosen (or have been given) to walk as I learn from Jesus the Christ, the Just One, and as I live in the presence of the Father of All.
